In his ongoing series called ‘Your Pet and You’, Hamburg-based photographer Tobias Lang captures heartwarming portraits of pets and their beloved owners.

Inviting all pets and their owners to his studio, Lang takes individual black and white portraits of men and beasts, before placing them side by side in the final image.

He has captured portraits of dogs, cats, owls, reptiles, tarantulas and ferrets—but has yet to photograph piglets, goldfish, meerkats, parrots, geese, chickens and worms.

According to Lang, he hopes to keep the project going until he has captured 200 portraits of pets and their owners—after which he plans to publish a photo book containing the portraits.
