As part of its ongoing campaign to constantly remind women that they are beautiful the way they are, Dove has created a video that features a former FBI-trained forensic artist Gil Zamora sketching women based on verbal descriptions.
In the three-minute ad, it shows the stark contrast between how women view themselves by describing their own facial features, and how others see them.
From their hair, to face shape and freckles on their complexion—the artist sketches reveal how self-critical we can be.
“Women are their own worst beauty critics,” Dove wrote. “Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful… So, we decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that explores how women view their own beauty in contrast to what others see.”
“And don’t forget: YOU are more beautiful than you think!”
