Japanese photographer Motoyuki Daifu has an interesting set of snapshots that air his family’s ‘dirty laundry’.
The set, titled “Project Family”, shows the home he shares with his parents and siblings covered in laundry, dishes, and general household clutter.
The work is extremely direct and shows rawness, even humor, in his living situation. It provides a useful context to the way of life in Japan.
At 27-years-old, Daifu has already published two books in America—Project Family being one of them. He’s also held a solo-exhibition at New York’s Lombard-Freid Projects. He is definitely a young artist to look out for.
