Ad Campaign Drills In The Importance Of First Aid Techniques

Having discovered that 55% of parents lacked the first aid skills to rescue their children in the event of a life-threatening accident, London's St John Ambulance set out to address the pressing matter.

St John Ambulance aimed to tap on the anxieties of parents in a nerve-jostling ad, where a distressed father is at a complete loss when his son meets with an accident.

The minute-long ad ends unresolved, giving the viewer a chance to 'save the boy' on the interactive platform.

Titled ‘Save The Boy’, the platform allows the user to learn a simple procedure based on the acronym ‘DR ABC’, which teaches simple but vital techniques, like how to clear the victim’s airway.

By following the guide’s verbal instructions and simulating the appropriate actions with a computer mouse, the user is able to learn a little bit more about first aid, and what to do in the event of an emergency.
