These ‘Die-O-Ramas’ Are Terrifyingly Fascinating

Abigail Goldman makes miniature dioramas of fictional scenes involving grassy landscapes and people.

On closer look, the people are not engaged in ordinary activities—they are either wielding dangerous weapons, or sprawling bloodied on the grass.

Aptly named 'Dieoramas', Goldman creates imaginary crime scenes in her grisly dioramas that would please any fan of 'Saw' or 'Kill Bill'.

A bloody body stashed in a car boot, a tiger mauling a man, a family having a picnic of body parts… these gruesome scenes command a second look, and very often, a mix of awe and disgust.

There is a dark sense of humor in these works, which have some sadistic titles. 'Quick Snack' shows a scene of a man about to eat another man’s decapitated head, and 'Medium Rare' shows a man barbecuing body parts over a grill.

Love them or hate them, Goldman’s works provoke a strange fascination.

Perverse, fascinating, or both? You decide.
