In Mexico, A Condominium Is Made To Look Like A Snake

A gigantic “snake” reminiscent of the Mexican god Quetzalcoatl can be found amid the natural landscape of Naucalpan.

Designed by Javier Senosiain, “Quetzalcoatl’s Nest” contains 10 apartments, taking up 16,500-square-feet in area.

Inspired by a cave, which looked like a serpent’s mouth to him, Senosiain designed this “snake” to blend into the environment, making use of its sinuous structure to complement the irregularly-shaped land.

Visitors and residents alike can take a walk along the twisting walkways of this snake, marveling at the beauty of the canyons and ravines.
