Armed with black permanent markers, Paris, France-based illustrator Ugo Gattoni elaborately doodled a plain white bicycle for UK bicycle retailer Starley, to promote its bespoke frame design service.

The intricate bicycle frame with Gattoni’s personal touch is a one-off limited-edition piece, and does not take after a running theme; it features “palm trees, tigers and sunny skies, as well as… round-headed figures”, according to Creative Review.

This collaboration is said to be the start of something the company would be delving into: Starley is planning to work with more designers and illustrators for one-off designed frames, as more and more customers “want a bike with a personal touch—one that’s unusual and an investment,” Nick Fountain, Starley marketing manager, told Creative Review.

Gattoni’s doodled bike will be auctioned in September, to raise money for charity.

Would you buy this doodled-on bike?
