These pieces may remind you of the vibrant and intricate paper cut-out art by Brittney Lee or Yulia Brodskaya. However, they are not paper cut-outs at all.
The pieces are actually illustrations created by Estonian artist Eiko Ojala.
With his mastery over light and shadow, Ojala creates each illustration by hand, using digital software. Almost every part of the paper artwork is done by hand, although he sometimes uses real shadows that he has photographed for the “really difficult shadows”.
