Just when we thought that we have seen enough of Iceland’s wild, natural landscape, we chanced upon these gorgeous shots of turquoise icebergs on a black beach located in the south-east of the island.
Melting into the sea from the near-by Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, most of these icebergs that washed up onto the black sand of the beach are small.
Creating a striking contrast with the black lava sand, these jewel-like, sparkling icebergs make for great photographic fodder and have attracted many camera-toting adventurers to capture their unique beauty—the long exposure shots, with their wispy water trails, are particularly lovely.
