Netherlands-based photographer Hendrik Kerstens brings a new twist to portrait photography.
Kerstens cleverly recreates classical portraits using everyday objects found around the house as costume props, dressing up the model in plastic bags, tea towels, lamp shades and other such items.
By setting the portraits against a dark background, Kerstens brings attention to the incongruous items used as props and the emotions of the model.
