Disturbing, Face-Melting Ink Portraits

While most people would want to avoid paint drips in their work, artist Ben Dehaan embraces it in his new series, ‘Uncured’.

Dehaan prints portraits using UV sensitive inks that cure (or dry) when exposed to UV light.

However, Dehaan does not dry his prints using UV light, instead he positions them vertically to allow the ink to run, capturing a timelapse of the process.

The portraits produced are literally face-melting, and become even more disturbing when you watch the timelapse of them slowly dripping away.

Head over to Dehaan's website to watch the timelapses or to see more of his work.
