Now that 3D printers have been known to produce anything from food to guns, many people are wondering about the potential of this exciting new technology—exactly how far can it go?

Real estate website Movoto, intrigued by the possibility of being able to construct entire houses with 3D-printing one day, has created a nifty calculator that will tell you how long and how much money it will take to build your dream home with a single 3D printer.

Based on the capabilities of the MakerBot Replicator 2, the team at Movoto found out that to build an average-sized 2,500 square foot two story house—made up of 27,735 bricks—will take 220 years, 4 months and 11 days, and will set you back US$332,820.

Naturally, the bigger the house, the longer the time and more money it will take to 3D-print—try out the calculator below.
