To celebrate 5 years of Global Handwashing Day, soap brand Lifebuoy has launched a campaign that shares the joy of a southern Indian farmer named Gondappa who celebrated his son’s fifth birthday by walking on his hands.
Global Handwashing Day aims to raise awareness of proper hand sanitation—according to statistics, it was revealed that more 1.1 million children die before the age of 5 due to diarrheal diseases, which could have been easily prevented.
Gondappa managed to walk for miles on his hands to a temple, to celebrate his son’s fifth birthday.
