According to Bloomberg, Facebook has hired Richard Williamson—the manager formerly in charge of Apple Maps.
Williamson was let go by Apple in November last year—after the app he was working on received much criticism—and headed to Menlo Park to join the social networking giant earlier this month.
He has been appointed as the director of engineering at Facebook, according to his LinkedIn profile, and has been working there for a few weeks now.
