Twitter will be launching a standalone music app this weekend, according to AllThingsD.
The microblogging service acquired social media startup We Are Hunted last year, which focused on top trending music on social media.
According to AllThingsD, the Twitter music app will likely do the same as We Are Hunted—the app will suggest “artists and tracks to users based on a number of personalized signals”, such as the Twitter accounts users follow.
Within the app, users would also be able to listen to music clips, watch music videos, buy songs and discover new music.
