Toronto UX design firm Teehan+Lax has debuted a new Hyperlapse tool that turns the static Google Street View into a beautiful visual journey.
Called ‘Google Street View Hyperlapse’, it creates a stunning time-lapse animation of preselected or custom routes—basically anywhere in the world where Google has Street View data.
Simply search for a location, set point A and B (where the journey starts and ends) and the Hyperlapse tool will generate your very own time-lapse animated street view.
According to the firm, they said that they originally aimed at making hyperlapses simpler with Street View as an aid, but they “quickly discovered that it could be used as the source material”.
