To mark the 38th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, authorities from Da Nang City have opened the ‘world’s largest dragon bridge’.
It features a dragon-shaped structure on a 666-meter long steel bridge that is capable of releasing burst of flames or sprays of water from its mouth.
It was reported that the bridge simulates the shape of the dragon because it is a symbolic creature that is part of Vietnam folklore.
The construction of the bridge started in July 2009, and the cost of the project was around $85 million.
