Is the feminist in you protesting against how scantily clad and cleavage-baring female superheroes encourage the objectification of women? Then you would like this latest project from artist Michael Lee Lunsford.
The ‘Fully Dressed Re-designs of Superheroines’ illustrations is the artist’s attempt to “clothe the heroines almost all the way” while keeping their costumes as iconic as the original ones.
After decades of overly-tight and unnecessarily revealing superheroine costumes, these looser, evidently more comfortable re-designs are definitely refreshing.
More importantly, they look a lot more functional for fighting crime and kicking the asses of evil villains—which is kind of the whole point, isn’t it?
