Advertising agency TBWA\Worldwide has launched The Bike Lane, a photography project documenting the people of Shanghai with their most beloved mode of transport—the bicycle.
The photographs are digitally manipulated in a way that some parts of the photograph are duplicated, but they give us an interesting look at the faces of the everyday life in Shanghai on a local street.
The subjects range from middle-aged ladies on their way to the market and the urban hipster to a family of four balancing on one bicycle and the vegetable-seller with his cart.
Conceptualized and photographed by TBWA Worldwide’s Chief Operating Officer, Emmanuel Andre and TBWA Great China’s Chief Creative Officer, Edmund Choe, the project was a way to raise awareness for TBWA’s CSR initiative, Room13 international.
