To help you keep track of the cute cats on the internet, the ZSL London Zoo has created a map that documents felines in the city—according to Metro News.
Called the ‘Cat Map’, the interactive map aimed at cat fans from all over the world takes stock of Britain’s domestic cats—and was launched for the opening of the zoo’s new ‘Tiger Territory’, that will house two new Sumatran tigers Jae Jae and Melati.
Londoners are encouraged to upload the locations, descriptions and photos of their feline friends to the map—to assist in giving an overview of the city’s cat population.
Some field notes include: Dorothy, a black tabby who has “intimacy issues”; and Smudge, a tortoiseshell female who matches her owner’s rug “and that is the most useful thing about her”.
“Our two new tigers are big cat news, bit we think little cats are important too,” Filip Hnizdo, creator of Cat Maps, told Metro News. “Tigers are the world’s favorite animal, and an iconic species in every culture—we want to see just how important their smaller counterparts are to London’s residents.”
“Cat Map is the one stop shop to find out how just how cat-mad Londoners are.”
