Designers Kyuhyung Cho and Hironoriri Tsukue collaborated to create a modular furniture system of two elements that can be easily transformed into shelves.
Called ‘Oneness’, the tables and chairs have multifunctional purposes: they can either be used as regular tables and chairs; or can be combined to create open-standing everyday storage shelves, which can also be extended either vertically or horizontally by adding more pieces.
Made of Finnish natural birch plywood, the easy-to-assemble shelves can be clipped together with black plastic fasteners at the small holes found in the corners of the chairs and tables, to fix them in place.
Oneness chairs also have hidden spaces on its seat backing, such that when it’s turned upside down to be part of a shelf, the space can be used to hold small objects or books.
