UK-based company Tamicare has developed 3D-printed disposable panties.
Created especially for women who have heavy menstruation, the 3D-printed underwear is made with a material called “Cosyflex”, and comes attached with an absorbing pad which can be worn for up to 12 hours without any leakage.
Unlike regular 3D-printed objects that are usually rigid, Cosyflex fabric is actually stretchy and biodegradable.
Each undergarment—which is produced by Tamicare’s special automated printing system—can be printed in under three-seconds, and is created by layering rubber-latex polymers and cotton fibers using a spray gun, according to Bloomberg.
Likely to be available in stores early next year, Tamicare 3D-printed disposable panties will make an impact on the medical industry, don’t you think?
