According to this report by Engadget, Motorola has applied for a patent of a smartphone microphone that is designed to be tattooed onto the skin on your neck.
If it becomes a reality, this cutting edge phone accessory would bring wearable technology to a whole new level.
This tattoo microphone is supposed to work by capturing sound vibrations directly from your larynx so as to cut out distracting background noises—the inked-on device would be able to communicate with your smartphone and other mobile gadgets via Bluetooth, NFC and other wireless protocols.
It has also been mentioned that the technology could also be applied to animals.
