Hailing from Austria, graphic design student and typography lover Fabienne Plangger decided to experiment with analog techniques for one of her typography projects.
One of the techniques she decided to work with was Rorschach—the inkblot tests commonly used in psychological tests—and created what she calls the ‘Rorschach Typography’.
Using ink between folded pieces of paper, Plangger uses symmetry to form a typeface that is interesting to look at—the shapes of the letters are not clearly defined, but like Rorschach tests resemble A to Z of the English alphabet such that the viewer perceives them to be so.
