You may think that cats are lazy creatures who just want to sleep all day, but Kuzya, a tabby cat in Russia, will change the way you look at these cuddly felines.
After wandering into the Novorossiysk Library one day, Kuzya impressed the library’s staff so much with its adorable charms that they decided to keep him—to be able to stay in his new home, Kuzya had to get an ID chip embedded and the necessary vaccinations.
Not only did Kuzya find a home at the library, but he also found a job—due to his popularity with both staff and visitors, he was soon promoted to the position of “assistant librarian”, with a pay raise of extra cat food and a bonus of treats.
Although shelving books is not part of Kuzya’s job scope, he contributes to the library in other ways—for instance, providing welcomed companionship to readers.
