American rapper Kanye West is getting a new visual identity, courtesy of renowned British graphic designer Peter Saville, who is best known for his cover designs for 1980s bands like Joy Division and New Order.
Speaking at the Global Design Forum in London recently, Saville said he met with West, who was in the city for a performance rehearsal.
According to Saville, West wants an identity similar to that of the iconic ‘YSL’ logo for Yves Saint Laurent.
This is not the first collaboration between West and a design figure. The architecture and design-loving musician has previously commissioned art pieces and a redesign for his apartment.
What do you think Kanye West’s YSL-inspired logo would look like?
