The Japanese are notorious for their creative advertisements, and this interactive game conceived by Beacon/Leo Burnett Japan for Ebara Foods is a wonderful addition to the lot.
The game, ‘Funfair in Your Mouth’, involves a simulation of a ride through the sky, where kids are challenged to ‘chomp’ up as many flying virtual vegetables as they can. Motion sensors would pick up kids’ chewing actions on the webcam to successfully ‘gobble up’ the veggies on screen.
Knowing that the kids still had to be persuaded to eat real vegetables, the designers ingeniously made the second part of the game such that the kids had to hold up a real vegetable to the webcam. Each time they bit on the vegetable, a colorful firework blast would be generated on the screen.
Do you think this will persuade stubborn kids to eat their greens?
