With an impulse to try something new, Todd Bretl bought some underwater photography equipment and started shooting on his dives.
Bretl has taken stunning images of many sea creatures, but these photographs of Bobtail Squids—tiny cephalopods which swim in the shallow waters of the Pacific Ocean—stand out, because of the beautiful colored markings on the bodies of these wonderful creatures that seem to glow.
