California-based artist and illustrator RJ Palmer—better known as “Arvalis” on DeviantArt—has created a series of awesome illustrations where he gives the cute Pokemons a more realistic and fearsome twist.
Taking inspiration from how dinosaurs look, he skillfully mashes up characteristics of these prehistoric creatures with that of the Pokemons—the result is convincing images of how Pokemons may look like if they have existed in our world, albeit a long time ago.
