Australian artist CJ Hendry has an incredible talent—she creates oversized illustrations of everyday objects that look exactly like grainy black-and-white photographs made on a vintage film camera.
Using nothing more than a fine-tip black pen, she was able to create her beautiful drawings with a tedious dotting technique that requires the artist to be extremely meticulous and have a huge amount of patience.
Bringing out the light and shadowy portions of each illustration perfectly, Hendry has a penchant for luxurious fashion accessories when choosing her subjects, such as a pair of Yves Saint Laurent patent leather Oxford shoes—she has also made several drawings of animal bones.
