American footwear company Skechers is in hot water for allegedly creating copycat versions of Kanye West and Adidas Originals’ beloved YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 ‘Beluga’ silhouette.
The “copies” consist of two trainers and one dress shoe that boast Kanye’s signature stripes on their respective uppers alongside the “Solar Red” streak on the side panels.
The shoes were initially discovered by Twitter user @absrdst at an unspecified Skechers store. After she posted it on the platform, all social media hell broke loose with users relentlessly trolling the label. “Skechers REALLY OUT HERE SELLING KNOCK OFF YEEZYS,” said @absrdst in the caption.
Each pair is available for purchase for approximately US$90 on Skechers’ official website.
