While actor Kit Harington and actress Maisie Williams don’t look very different from their Game of Thrones characters, actress and former model Gwendoline Christie had to undergo one of the most extensive transformations for her role of ‘Brienne of Tarth’. This includes a rigorous training regimen that affected the way she carried herself—from a “dancer’s grace” to a much more “muscular bearing.”
In addition to the comparisons between the cast members’ real life appearances versus their characters’ façades, YouTube channel Looper sheds light on what the various artistes were up to prior to joining the hit show. Unlike Harington and Williams who were not familiar to the public then, Scottish actor Iain Glen was already a recognizable face on screen, having performed in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Resident Evil: Extinction, and The Iron Lady.
