Hailing from the United States, student-artist Jon Lock has created a series of illustrations depicting social networks drawn in manga style.
Each personification is clothed in the colors of each site and has a personality to match—Tumblr wears a dark blue uniform and gives the viewer a come hither look, while Instagram’s expression of wonderment mirrors that of its users.
Although they are not social networks per se, Google Chrome and Firefox get a makeover, with the latter resembling a cheeky Japanese fox spirit.
Playful and fun, these illustrations serve to embody what online culture is like today.
