The L.I.S.A Project is a street art initiative that aims to turn New York City’s Little Italy into Manhattan’s only mural district by showcasing the work of a diverse mix of artists.
Established by Ralph Tramontana, President of the Little Italy Merchants Association, the project is trying to encourage both New Yorkers and tourists alike to visit the neighborhood to view and photograph the artworks.
So far, a number of vibrant murals have already been completed, including works from Hanksy, Ron English and Bishop203.
The latest piece to be unveiled is an abstract portrait of Audrey Hepburn by toymaker Tristan Eaton—view behind-the-scenes images of him working on the mural over here.
