If you constantly misplace your keys, America-based duo Louis Gerbarg and Geoff Litwack have created a device you can attach to your keychain, that pairs up with your smartphone.
Called ‘Hone’, when you can’t find your keys, you just have to fish out your smartphone, open the Hone app and tap the “Find button”.
When the “Find” button gets tapped, the Bluetooth-enabled dongle that’s attached to your keys flashes, vibrates and beeps to notify you of its location.
The dongle only weighs half an ounce, and is able to detect ‘alerts’ from smartphones up to 100-feet away—and because of its low power needs, one battery can last the device for up to six months.
This could be a lifesaver for those who like to leave their keys lying around.
But we do wonder, what if we lose our phone—would we still be able to find our keys then?
Hone is available at US$50.
