The creative team at Beattie McGuinness Bungay (BMB) has launched a website that lets you take a peek at the early works of the “world’s most successful” ad creatives and agency founders.

Titled ‘Before They Were Famous’, it features the early and student portfolios from creatives such as Trevor Beattie, Mark Denton, and The Real Mad Men author Andrew Cracknell.

Created by BMB senior creative team Lorelei Mathias and Nathalie Turton—with the help of advertising graduates Paul Clinton and Darryl Arthur—they wanted the site to “inspire and encourage young creatives who might be struggling to get a job by showing them that everyone starts somewhere”.

“These aren’t polished, perfect ads but what they show is how much people’s [abilities develop] over time,” Turton told Creative Review.

“One famous creative we contacted admitted his student portfolio was more creative than anything he’d ever done in the real world,” added Turton. “We hope the site will inspire students to really have fun with their portfolios as it’s the last time they’ll ever be that free.”
