We have previously featured humorous urban art where googly eyes are stuck onto street fixtures and even Christmas trees to create the funny illusion that these inanimate objects are alive.
Finnish director and animator Lucas Zanotto has brought this “eye-bombing” movement into nature with this latest photographic project, titled ‘Having a Face’.
By sticking over-sized googly eyes onto natural objects like rocks, trees, even hay and logs, he is able to create interesting pictures where the absurdity of the cartoonish eyes juxtaposes against the scenic natural landscapes.
Wouldn’t you get a fright if you encountered one of these googly-eyed creatures in the woods? View more of the images from this on-going project over here.
