To re-invent the sterile experience of getting coffee from a machine, industrial designer Yves Behar and the team at his San Francisco-based design agency Fuseproject has created the ‘Briggo Coffee Haus’.
Manned by a series of robots, this unusual coffee shop/vending machine is powered by the internet and orders can be taken via the web, an iOS app or a touchscreen at the kiosk—you can even schedule to have your coffee made and ready for pick-up at a certain time.
Designed to convey a warm, friendly vibe, the wood-draped façade of the hi-tech kiosk will look good in most public spaces—according to Behar, it has been made “to look, smell, and feel like a coffee shop”.
Customers can view part of the coffee-making process through a transparent window, before their cuppa is pushed out via a charming revolving door.
After the coffee is served, you can provide feedback via the various web-based channels—for instance, more milk, less sugar—so that the kiosk can gradually tailor-make your coffee to be exactly what you want.
There is currently no information about when and where the Briggo Coffee Haus will be introduced, but we definitely hope to find it somewhere near us soon.
