We have chanced upon some exceptional work in astrophotography recently—such as these gorgeous engagement shots—but South California-based photographer and film-maker Michael Shainblum still made us sit up with his mind-blowing images.
Shainblum, who also took these stunning pictures of ancient trees, has managed to capture the celestial wonders of the night skies in all their magnificent glory.
Invisible to most city-dwellers who suffer from light pollution, these breathtaking photographs are mostly taken in the rural, less inhabited areas of California.
