Magazine art and design director Tim Leong—who also founded Comic Foundry for comic book lovers—has published his first book Super Graphic that gives beloved superheroes the infographic treatment.
Presenting a wide array of comic book information in fun, colorful and eye-catching charts, the “visual guide to the comic book universe” is a geek/design fest that beautifully brings together superhero statistics and graphic design.
According to Leong, the book is for “people who are hardcore comic book aficionados and people who have never read one before”, so this should be a good read regardless of how deep your knowledge of comic books is.
From a Venn diagram that categories superheroes according to their costumes and their parents’ cause of death, to a matrix that charts the political inclinations of comic book characters, this book is stuffed with interesting information and good-looking graphics.
