Besides ‘uncool kids’ and ‘unattractive people’, clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) has now banned the color ‘black’ from its stores.

According to Business Insider, the brand has confirmed that “it doesn’t sell black clothing” and its management has even discouraged its corporate employees at its Ohio headquarters from wearing the color to work.

Employees told Business Insider that Abercrombie’s CEO Michael Jeffries is behind the color ban.

“Abercrombie & Fitch does not sell black clothing and discourages wearing it at our home office and in our stores, because we are a casual lifestyle brand and feel black clothing is formal,” said the company in a statement. “We have nothing against black clothing and feel it is perfectly appropriate for things like tuxedos.”

What do you think of A&F’s black ban?
