Anatomically Correct Sculptures Made From Old Typewriters

Oakland-based artist Jeremy Mayer disassembles old typewriters before reassembling them into full-scale, anatomically correct human and animal sculptures.

Mayer only uses parts salvaged from typewriters in his sculptures; he puts them together in a process known as “cold assembly”, meaning no soldering, welding or glueing is done.

Mayer’s work creatively recycles old and ‘useless’ typewriters, giving them a new life. His robotic looking sculptures allow us to appreciate these old objects in a new and exciting way.

You can see more of Mayer’s work on his website.
