Piqued by humanity’s search for self-actualization, Paris based photographer Gabriel Aguirre makes multiple clones of people wandering about the city.
Titled “Dépliage Du Soi”, which directly translates to the unfolding of the self, the photos place the clones of a person in the same frame, creating a surreal atmosphere within these photos.
While many people guess that these figures are searching for meaning in life, the series is open to many interpretations and can also be seen as a visual journal of someone’s journey through life.
