Inspired by popular fantasy series Game of Thrones, New York-based brewery Ommegang has partnered up with HBO to create collection of themed beers.
The first beer from the collection, “Iron Throne”, was released earlier this year before the launch of drama series Game of Thrones Season 3—with a Lannister on the throne then, the “piercing Golden Blonde Ale with Noble hopes” was an apt choice.
More recently, the brewery has announced its second Game of Thrones beer—true to its name, “Take The Black Stout” is a somber stout that is “as dark as the winters that once engulfed Westeros”.
