Reinvent Beer-Drinking For 60+ Year-Olds, Win A 3-Day Workshop In Amsterdam

Heineken Ideas Brewery launched its global challenge, The 60+ Idea Challenge, earlier last month.

The challenge calls for participants to reinvent the beer experience for those aged 60 and above—from the brew, to its packaging, and the method it’s served.

With just seven days left to submit your brilliant ideas, to entice you, Heineken has highlighted some benefits of trying out in the competition by 27 June 2013.

Besides the prize money—of US$5K, US$3K and US$2K that would be split among the top three winners respectively—being one of the six finalists would also entail a workshop with the beverage company, where finalists get to co-create with Heineken.

As finalists, you’d get free flights to Amsterdam for the three-day workshop.

At the start, you’d be warmly welcomed with a tour in the brewery-turned-museum ‘Heineken Experience’—located next to its headquarters in the heart of the city—so you can learn more about the brand and its product.

Finalists get to work with Heineken experts from its marketing, innovation, design and R&D for the workshop, to bring your brainchild to the next level.

After which, you’d get to meet with the target group—and considering that Heineken is targeting those 60-years-old and above this time, they are those that have had many years of drinking experience and are sure to give wise advice and feedback on your concepts.

In addition, the workshop would help you to enhance your “elevator pitch” that’s useful in many other situations in life—with support from visualisers and a pitch coach to drive you, you’d be geared up for presenting your idea in the best possible way to a panel of judges.

The jury includes DesignTAXI’s founder Alex Goh, Daniel Quinn of Happen.com, Dominic Wilcox of Speed Creator, and two of Heineken’s senior marketing and innovation managers.

To wrap it up, the Ideas Brewery workshop would end with dinner and drinks, courtesy of Heineken.
