London-based Dutch designer Tord Boonjte was commissioned to create some artworks for the paediatric critical care unit at the Royal London Hospital for the enjoyment of the young patients, their parents and carers.
The result is a series of colorful and whimsical wall murals that are beautifully detailed—featuring animals and other nature-inspired elements, these artworks brighten up the usually sterile space and provide something to stimulate the children’s imaginations.
“Alluding to renewal and growth, the work contains animals and elements in energizing colors for children to find and discover. Some of the larger drawings are very finely detailed and invite you to discover new elements day after day.”
