New York-based artist Jamie Isenstein has created a seriously queer piece of wearable furniture that lets you literally blend into the woodwork.
The ‘Human Chair’ is a two-legged armchair that is useless without a person in it—the sitter/wearer has to slip inside the chair and stick his limbs out of designated holes to “sit” in it.
The arms of the sitter/wearer become the armrests of the Human Chair while his legs act as its front legs, resulting in a strangely poetic coming together of person and furniture.
Fortunately or not, this conceptual piece is not actually for sale—if it were, it would probably make a pretty epic Halloween costume.
