Comics website Comic Book Resources hosts an on-going art mashup collaborative series—titled ‘The Line It Is Drawn’—every week, where comic book characters are re-imagined creatively to fit a weekly theme.
For the 128th theme last week, called ‘Music Album Cover Homages’, partnering artists recreated well-known album art with superheroes.
From The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band to Michael Jackson’s Bad, the resulting artworks brilliantly capture the essence of the original album covers by humorously replacing the musicians with superheroes.
