A new café has opened on Foley Street in West London—inside a 19th century men’s public washroom.
Called ‘The Attendant’, customers can sip their coffee and dig into gourmet sandwiches while seated next to porcelain urinals from the 1890s—which have been plugged, cleaned and turned into a counter top.
Although no longer in use, the urinals remind customers that they’re having their meals where other “indelicate procedures” once took place.
According to The Sun, the café is being run by a chef from a Michelin-starred restaurant.
