French artist Charlotte Caron has produced an intriguing mix-media series of painted photographs that reveal the wild sides of their human subjects.
Painting over large scale photo portraits with artistic depictions of various animals, such as a fox, a deer and an eagle, Caron’s work blurs the line between reality and imagination—she describes it as “an osmosis between two medium”.
Duality is the apparent theme of the series—it refers to both our animalistic nature and our close genetic ties with our animal friends.
